Quality and care for the future

ARMOR produces high quality ink and toner cartridges. To ensure this quality multiple tests are performed in every stage. Therefore ARMOR has a wide range of ISO-certificats.

ARMOR looks beyond quality. Our organization finds corporate social responsability (CSR) very important. ARMOR has a focus on lowering the ecological footprint and increasing sustainability.That’s why ARMOR has committed itself to several international agreements and initiatives.

Our cartridges have several qualifications. What do they mean exactly? And what is the commitment behind them?

ASTM

Standard established by remanufacturing industry professionals.
Main requirements:

  • drop test
  • optical density measurement

DIN 33870

Established by “Deutsches Institut für Normung” which regulates the quality and reliability of recycling monochrome toner cartridges.
Main requirements:

  • product traceability
  • optical density measurement and adhesion of toner
  • AMES test: toxicity measurement of the components

NORDIC ECOLABEL

Scandinavian environmental label, introduced in 1989.
Main requirements:

  • collection of used cartridges
  • responsible processing of waste
  • same quality as new cartridges
  • informing the end user

NF ENVIRONMENT

French quality label introduced in 1991 by AFNOR.
Main requirements:

  • same quality as new cartridges
  • limitation harmful waste during lifecycle of the product

ISO/IEC 19752

Technical standard established by ISO and IEC to determine the yield of monochrome toner cartridges.
Main requirements:

  • testing in controlled environment: temperature and density
  • testing the yield of nine different types of cartridges on three different printers

ISO/IEC 19798

Technical standard established by ISO and IEC to determine the yield of the color toner cartridges.

  • testing in controlled environment: temperature and density
  • testing the yield of three sets of four cartridges (black, cyaan, magenta, yellow) on three different printers. In total 35 cartridges are tested.

ETIRA CODE OF CONDUCT

Signing the code of conduct of ETIRA (European Toner and Inkjet Remanufacturers Association). With endorsement of these guidelines for quality and behavior ARMOR contributes to further improving the professionalism of the remanufacturing printing industry.

ISO 9001

This standard shows that an organization not only meets the quality requirements but also strives for continuous improvement.

SO 9001 is an international standard for quality management. This certification substantiates that ARMOR meets the requirements of customers, the product applicable laws and regulations and the requirements of the organization itself.

ISO 14001

These standards demonstrate that an organization not only meets the quality requirements but also strives for continuous improvement. Using an environmental caresystem according to ISO 14001 standard ARMOR guarantees to manage the environmental risks and lower the ecological footprint.

ISO 24711

ARMOR is certified by Veritas according to ISO / IEC 24711 for testing inkjetcartidges. New remanufactured cartridges are tested according to this ISO standard. In this standard, the main elements are defined that are of influence on the page return. This page yield is equal to the total number of pages that can be printed with a single cartridge.

BSCI

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a leading supply chain management system that supports companies in the social compliance and improve their global supply chains. BSCI implement the agreed international labor standards to protect workers' rights, such as International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions and declarations of the United Nations (UN) and Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The Global Impact VN

Global Compact is a UN initiative to connect parties worldwide to jointly contribute to international corporate social responsibility. Parties who join the Global Compact endorse the 10 principles of the UN initiative. The issue of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. With the Global Compact the UN also want to reach broader UN goals, including the Sustainable Development.

Responsible Care Global Charter VN

Responsible Care (RC) is a global initiative of the chemical industry, focusing on the continuous improvement of performance in the areas of safety, health and environment. With help of the RC ARMOR wants to play a pioneering role it sees for itself in the preservation of society.
